Jury Duty: Company Retreat‘s hero Anthony Norman offered more insight into his experience — and addressed those skeptical of the experience.
“I don’t really have anything to say to them,” Anthony exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping. “I’m sorry that y’all didn’t get the full experience.”
Jury Duty, which premiered on Prime Video in 2023, followed a group of prospective jurors going through the selection process and civil trial. Most of the cast members were actually actors except for one participant, who was unaware that everything was fictionalized.
Season 2 debuted in March 2026 with Anthony being hired at Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce as a temp while unaware that the company is fake. Since the reveal, Anthony has still had moments where he questioned his reality.
“It is in the wild and crazy moments. Two days after we were done filming, I was doing valet and a gentleman’s battery died in his car. I was like, ‘Hey, I need you to come help me.’ So he walked over there and he was like, ‘I’m sorry. I was supposed to get married yesterday but me and my wife, we took some shrooms and now we can’t. We canceled the marriage,'” Anthony recalled. “I took a step back and while he was talking I was looking around like, ‘Where are the cameras at?'”
He continued: “In extreme situations like that, I do guess a little, but for the most part, no. I don’t think that there’s been cameras on me since then.”

Anthony is still adjusting to his new normal, telling Us, “It’s starting to hit me now. The moments that really drive that home are the people that reach out and they expressed to me that they watched it as a family. The fact that they used it to bond together as a family — I’m a big family guy — so the fact that I can be a part of somebody’s household and make them a better family makes my heart happy.”
Looking ahead, Anthony is hoping to use his platform to spotlight important topics such as mental health. Anthony’s new Jury Duty pals also spoke to Us about how different their experience was compared to his.
“In season 1, they’re all strangers when they meet,” noted Jerry Hauck, who plays Doug, the fictional CEO of Rockin’ Grandma’s. “We had to know each other from birth to when Anthony was hired and when the company was created, so we actually had a family tree that went back 100 years.”
Despite the extensive work required to sell the lie and the tremendous success of season 1 — it was nominated for three Emmys and two Golden Globes and won a prestigious Peabody Award — the cast welcomed the challenge.
Producers, who this season included season 1 star Ronald Gladden, “made it clear to us that this was a more ambitious undertaking, in that the environment had expanded,” said Rachel Kaly, who portrayed lovably awkward IT tech Claire.
Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur — the receptionist and aspiring snack influencer P.J. — praised the season 1 cast. “They walked so we could run. Because they accomplished that, we could do this. I was just excited for the world to get to see how much bigger it is this season,” he added.
Company Retreat wouldn’t be what it is without Anthony, who like Ronald before him, quickly became the heart of the story. For the cast, the most daunting aspect of filming was working up to the big reveal, when Anthony finally learned the truth, and making sure nothing felt mean-spirited.
“I knew he was going to be taken care of,” LaNisa Renee Frederick, who played logistics manager Jackie, told Us. “We can’t deny that we had a human bond and interaction.”
Now that he’s done filming and in on the gag, Anthony is grilling his costars when invitations for group hangs “sound a little suspect,” said Alex Bonifer, who played Grandma’s heir apparent, Dougie. But the lighthearted suspicion hasn’t stopped the whole group from sticking together — just like a real work family.
Jury Duty is streaming on Prime Video.
