Jennifer Love Hewitt is returning to TV in a familiar — and racy — role.
The 32-year-old Ghost Whisperer actress will reprise her role as Texas housewife-turned-stripper Samantha Horton in a TV version of Lifetime's popular 2010 movie The Client List.
The 10-episode series will follow Hewitt's Horton as she resorts to prostitution to support her family through the recession.
Hewitt — who prepped for her TV movie role by taking pole dancing lessons — said she found some unlikely support when taking on the project.
"My mom's like, 'I'm so proud. You're pole dancing and you're going to play a prostitute. Awesome!'" Hewitt told Entertainment Tonight. "It's like, 'Yeah, what you always dreamed about, mama!' But you know, it's a great part."
Hewitt is also producing the series, slated for a 2012 premiere.
