Kylie Kelce lets her husband, Jason, call her Joe, but he better not dare try “Baby” or “Sweetie.”
The hilarious revelation came when the two appeared on Rhett and Link’s Good Mythical Morning on Tuesday, December 10.
“Kylie hates pet names or nicknames,” Jason explained. “I call her Joe because when she played field hockey she reminded me of, like, a baby kangaroo the way she was squatted down. So I called her Joey, then I narrowed it down to Joe. That’s my only nickname.”
“You found a loophole,” Kylie interjected.
“Sweetie he’s not allowed to say,” she added. “There’s certain nicknames: Sweetie, Babe, Baby, Hun, Honey. You can only be called those things by, like, a waitress in a diner in south Philly. In Philadelphia, it takes on sort of like this, ‘OK, hun,’ almost like a ‘bless your heart.’ It’s sharp. It just feels aggressive.”

As for Jason, Kylie had a chance to pick a new nickname for him. Given the options of Appaloosa, Flash and Baby, she went with Flash. Jason guessed she would pick Appaloosa.
“He had a cat growing up [named Flash]. It is the only cat he ever speaks fondly about,” she explained. “I thought for sure you’d be like ‘I have positive memories of a Flash, I’ll go Flash.’”
As much fun as Jason and Kylie, or should we say Flash and Joe, had on their Good Mythical Morning appearance, they have made poking fun at each other a common practice. Just last week, Jason called his wife the “funniest looking” Kelce in a post via X, before admitting his antics have made his couch “pretty broken in at this point.”
On the November 20 episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which Jason hosts with his brother Travis, Jason mocked Kylie’s “OCD” around doing the dishes.
“Kylie hates when I do the dishes,” he said. “She just has OCD about getting all the food off the plate before you put it in the dishwasher. The dishwasher instructions clearly state to not do that. It really gets clean without doing that. I’m just saying what the instructions say. I’m an instruction follower.”
Jason’s story prompted Kylie to jump in from off-camera, with, “ “Stop f—ing exposing me, you d—!”
Kylie and Jason are currently expecting another baby, also a girl. They already share daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte (nicknamed Ellie), 3, and Bennett, 1.
Maybe Appaloosa is in the running for baby No. 4.
