HBO Max is just days away from losing a handful of great movies at the beginning of February.

But if you look closely at the titles that are leaving, you may notice that the vast majority were produced by other studios.

To help you make your viewing plans for the rest of January, Watch With Us has narrowed down our picks for the four movies leaving HBO Max that you have to watch.

Our selections include two critically acclaimed horror flicks, a classic action film starring Keanu Reeves and a special effects extravaganza.

Speed has lost a little bit of its pop culture heft, but it has been nearly 32 years, and it was bound to happen eventually. Think of it as Die Hard on a bus, because LAPD Officer Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves) has to keep the vehicle going over 50 mph or else it will explode and kill everyone on it.

The late Dennis Hopper plays Howard Payne, the madman who set this plan into motion. This film also marked the emergence of Sandra Bullock as a major star. She plays Annie Porter, a passenger on the bus who soon finds herself behind the wheel while Jack tries to locate the bomb and defuse it before it can be set off.

Speed is streaming on HBO Max until February 1.

Director Ari Aster has characterized Midsommar as a break-up movie. To a certain extent, it is, as part of an unconventional horror story. Dani (Florence Pugh) suffers a terrible tragedy at the beginning of the film, and her boyfriend, Christian (Jack Reynor), feels like he can’t leave her while she’s dealing with it.

Months later, Christian’s friends, Josh (William Jackson Harper) and Mark (Will Poulter), invite him to a once-in-a-lifetime festival in rural Sweden. Dani comes with them, and what they encounter is a death cult hiding just out of plain sight. There’s a reason why this festival is rarely held, and these poor fools are going to find out the hard way.

Midsommar is streaming on HBO Max until February 1.

Kathy Bates plays one of the scariest screen villains you will ever see in Rob Reiner‘s adaptation of Stephen King‘s Misery. Bates won the Oscar for Best Actress for her chilling turn as Annie Wilkes, a nurse whose sinister side is sometimes hidden by her sweet disposition.

Annie saves her favorite writer, Paul Sheldon (James Caan), from a near-fatal car wreck. Paul’s gratitude evaporates when he realizes that Annie is out of her mind, and she won’t let him leave until he finishes a new novel that resurrects her favorite character. And even that might not be enough for Annie.

Misery is streaming on HBO Max until February 1.

The special effects of the modern Planet of the Apes movies are truly impressive, and they’re advanced enough that the CGI apes are very convincing. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes starts a new story, as a young ape named Noa (Owen Teague) witnesses the conquest of his entire clan.

Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand) has taken ape and human slaves to build his new empire. To rescue his people from Proximus, Noa befriends an orangutan named Raka (Peter Macon) and a human girl called Mae (Freya Allan). Unlike other humans of this era. Mae can still speak and think rationally. But her agenda and Noa’s may not always align when they face Proximus.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is streaming on HBO Max until February 1.
