On-screen Evil Stepmother Cate Blanchett made one journalist sweep up the ashes of his broken career during an awkward-yet-hilarious interview on March 25. Prior to the blowup, the Cinderella actress, 45, had been joking around with L.A.-based reporter Jonathan Hyla, who was working for Australian outlet The Project.

“Okay, serious question, how were you able to get that cat to do what you wanted it to on a leash?” Hyla asked, referring to the Evil Stepmother’s fluffy pet. “I tried to put my girlfriend’s cat on a leash, and it just never works for me.”
Cate Blanchett was not impressed with reporter Jonathan Hyla’s recent questions about Cinderella.“That’s your question? That’s your f—king question?” Blanchett exclaimed, grinning. The reporter tried to defend himself, as the rest of the crew laughed in the background.
