Lindsay Hubbard brought the pregnancy glow to Summer House season 9, according to her ex, Carl Radke.
Carl, 40, told People in an interview published on Wednesday, February 12, that Lindsay seemed “much happier” while filming the latest season of the Bravo reality show last summer. At the time, Lindsay, 38, was expecting her first child. (She gave birth to daughter Gemma, her first child with boyfriend Turner Kufe, in December 2024.)
“Everybody’s having a good time with her. She was much happier and it made me happy seeing her happy,” Carl said, though he admitted that he and his ex didn’t always see “eye to eye” while shooting season 9.
“Jesse [Solomon] has a Shabbat dinner that he hosted, and it’ll be a pretty epic fight between me and Lindsay, just verbal,” Carl teased. “There’s no yelling and screaming. It’s just back and forth, back and forth.”
Carl and Lindsay called it quits in August 2023. Lindsay surprised fans — and her castmates — a year later by announcing her pregnancy in July 2024, just as Summer House began filming season 9.
Carl said he first learned about Lindsay’s pregnancy from costars Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula and it took some time to process the news.
“There was a lot bubbling up. But it wasn’t my business. [I] just was happy for her once I heard,” said Carl. “I was happy for her, and for me, it was kind of like, OK, she’s moved on and she’s happy and that’s all that really matters.’”
Kyle, meanwhile, exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping that he tried to ensure the exes were on good terms while filming.
“I was just like, ‘We need to break the ice. We can’t put this off.’ I felt the awkwardness,” Kyle, 42, told Us about the initial vibes between Lindsay and Carl when they started filming season 9. “I was just trying to convince him to find a moment in the kitchen where it’s just the two of them to wish Lindsay congratulations [on her pregnancy]. I know that’s how he was feeling and that’s what he was kind of conveying.”
