This week on Getting Real With the Housewives, the original Real Housewives of New York City are officially coming back to TV, Melissa Gorga has an unexpected reunion with Caroline Manzo and Captain Jason Chambers reveals what it was really like having the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast on Below Deck Down Under.
Viewers previously got the Salt Lake City perspective of their time aboard Captain Jason’s yacht on season 6 of RHOSLC, but things flipped during the season 4 premiere of Below Deck Down Under on Monday, February 2.
“You need to understand that throughout that whole charter, throughout the whole noise and yelling and everything, not once were they disrespectful or not impolite to any of our crew members,” Captain Jason, 53, exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping. “They know the work we’re putting in and I think that says a lot … we loved them all.”
While aboard the yacht, Angie Katsanevas crushed her finger while wearing an inflatable costume. The cut caused her to have medical attention from Captain Jason.
“The craziest thing that happened, which made me laugh, I got Angie down for the second time, busted finger, I’m wrapping it up and it’s zombie night theme,” Jason tells Us. “Whitney comes running into the room with the shortest nurse’s outfit on with fake blood all over, and she’s like, ‘I can take care of this. I can take care of this.’ Everything’s in my face right now and I’m like, ‘Whitney, I’ve got it,’ but there’s this limb here, and there’s her chest there, and she’s trying to get in and I’m like, ‘Whitney, just go away. I’m trying to look after Angie!’ But she’s like, ‘I’m a qualified nurse. I can do this.’ They’re funny as hell, like they all are.”
At the time of the charter, Britani Bateman was not together with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Jared Osmond and expressed interest in the Bravo bachelor.
“I think I got some intel about two hours before she asked for a tour, so I kind of knew where it was coming,” Jason tells Us. “I hung out with her and Jared at BravoCon and got to know her even more, and her daughter as well, they’re lovely people.”
