90 Day Fiance’s Julia Trubkina Says She and Brandon Gibbs ‘Have a Lot’ of Problems (Exclusive)

Julia Trubkina and Brandon Gibbs had a lot to work out upon entering 90 Day: The Last Resort more than just disagreements about having children.

“During this therapy section, actually, we have a lot more of what we are going to share,” Julia, 31, exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping on Monday, December 2, ahead of the Last Resort premiere. “A lot more we [had been] hiding for all of these years, but we came for one problem. We were like, ‘OK, it’s only one problem that we have.’ No, we have a lot and not something like, ‘We can fix this tomorrow. Everything will be perfect.’ No, they are so deep.”

Julia and Brandon, 31, got married in April 2020, which was chronicled on season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé. The pair had met through Brandon’s friend, initially speaking via video chat as Julia lived in her native Russia. Since their nuptials, Julia became a U.S. citizen as she and Brandon tried to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.

“I mean, we are going to be talking about my family. Not only this is therapy when it’s kind of, like, we step away from Brandon’s family,” Julia teased to Us. “We kind of let them stay back in trying to fix our relationship. But, my family is kind of in our relationship and other stuff about kids is going to shock everybody.”

Brandon and Julia were among the fan-favorite 90 Day couples to head to a couple’s resort to improve their relationship. For Julia, she didn’t have “a lot of expectations” about where the journey led.

“I know from my side, I will be open up for 100 percent. I will do everything the therapist tells me,” she said. “Doesn’t matter if it’s going to be bad or good, I will do everything. I think it’s a lot and that is good. So, I try to open up and I’m so happy.”

She added, “It’s not like, ‘Oh, I’m going to leave this therapy, I will be good.’ No, I think it was like, ‘OK, I’m going to open up, but it’s not going to fix me tomorrow. It’s going to help me to go into the right way.’ I’m trying to put my expectation low, so [I won’t be] sad if this is not going to happen.”

Julia and Brandon also had group therapy with the other participants.
