The Lord of Dreams returns in the second season of The Sandman, which is based on the critically acclaimed fantasy comic book series. Morpheus (Tom Sturridge) has slowly recovered from his century in captivity and reclaimed his role as the ruler of the Dreaming. He is the personification of dreams, nightmares, and stories.

But all stories come to an end, and Morpheus’ time is running out. Can a dream truly die? Morpheus is going to find out, but he still has a few wrongs to put right before he can take his final bow.

‘Mom’ (2013 – 2021)

For a Chuck Lorre sitcom, Mom sure has a lot of serious moments, and the series doesn’t shy away from some very dark material at times. Anna Faris stars as Christy Jolene Plunkett, a woman who has reclaimed her sobriety after years of addiction to alcohol, drugs and gambling. At the start of the show, Christy attempts to reboot her life and start fresh with her children, Violet (Sadie Calvano) and Roscoe (Blake Garrett), neither of whom fully trusts her to remain sober.

Christy’s mother, Bonnie Plunkett (Allison Janney), is also a recovering addict, and they’ve been estranged for a long time. It takes real effort on both of their parts to find some measure of forgiveness and a willingness to coexist. It’s not always a smooth or easy process, but they are a family and they’re trying to make it work.
