Many moviegoers will flock to their local theater to watch Minecraft, an adaptation of the popular video game starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black. But that movie isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and some might be looking for an alternative.

If you have a Hulu subscription, you’re in luck as the streamer has a library full of quality films to watch. In addition to the Oscar-winning movie Anora and the dark comedy Nightbitch, Hulu has a lot of older flicks that deserve some love.

Whether you’re in the mood for a thriller, a spy comedy or a sci-fi spectacle, these underrated movies are guaranteed to entertain.

A lot of people love 1993’s Jurassic Park, while plenty of people hate its sequel, 1997’s The Lost World. But Jurassic Park III is neither liked nor loathed — it’s just ignored. Yet the second sequel to Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur adventure has its B-movie charms, and Sam Neill makes an all-too-welcome return to the series as heroic paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant.

He’s reluctantly drawn back to Isla Sorna by a rich couple, Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni), who offer to fund his scientific research in exchange for a guided tour of the now-defunct dinosaur park. Of course, things don’t go according to plan, and soon, Alan must ward off dangerous Velociraptors and lethal Pteranodons to protect the Kirbys and find a way off the island.

Jurassic Park III doesn’t have the awe and grandeur of the original nor does it have the elaborate setpieces of the sequel trilogy. Instead, the movie’s no-frills thrills and compact runtime (it’s only 92 minutes long) make it a perfectly enjoyable movie that doesn’t overstay its welcome.

Jurassic Park III is streaming on Hulu.

Audrey Stockman (Mila Kunis) is about to celebrate her birthday when she receives some devastating news — her boyfriend Drew (Justin Theroux) wants to dump her. Her best friend Morgan Freeman (Kate McKinnon and yes, her name is an intentional joke) does her best to console her, but she only shakes her blues away when she finds out Drew is a spy and he needs her help in delivering a package to someone in Vienna.

Like Spy with Melissa McCarthy before it, The Spy Who Dumped Me parodies James Bond movies while also whipping up a fun little adventure of its own. The movie is silly and doesn’t make much sense, but it’s fun watching Kunis and McKinnon travel around Europe acting like the secret spies they so obviously aren’t.

1995 was the year of the serial killer movie, and Se7en is probably the most beloved of that year’s crop. But Copycat, a thriller starring Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter, came out one month after David Fincher’s classic, and it’s scarier and better.

Weaver stars as Dr. Helen Hudson, a famous psychologist who is confined to her spacious San Francisco home after a traumatic attack. She’s retired and an emotional mess, but she’s called back into action by Detective M.J. Monahan (Hunter), who needs Helen’s expertise for a recent murder case. Helen suspects a serial killer is on the loose, and he’s copycating famous murderers like Ted Bundy and David Berkowitz. Can Helen overcome her agoraphobia — and her distrust of cops like M.J. — to catch the killer before he strikes again?

Copycat is a slick and efficient thriller that devotes as much time to its heroines’ complicated relationship with each other as it does to generating suspense. Weaver and Hunter’s characters don’t like one another at all, but they respect each other and understand they need to work together to stop the copycat killer.
