Netflix is maintaining a steady flow of newly arrived movies as we near the midpoint of January.
That’s always been the secret to Netflix’s success. There are so many fresh options to watch that it’s hard to get bored with the selection.
Watch With Us has narrowed down this week’s choices to the three most popular Netflix movies you need to watch right now.
There are two biopics on the docket, both of which are inspirational in their own unique ways. But first, there’s something special for the rom-com fans.
‘People We Meet on Vacation’ (2026)
Emily Henry‘s romance novel People We Meet on Vacation is now a rom-com and the new No. 1 movie on Netflix. Tom Blyth and Emily Bader star as Alex Nilsen and Poppy Wright, respectively. For the past decade, Alex and Poppy have been best friends and traveling companions who are so close to each other that even their friends and family believe they’re a couple.
The truth is a bit more complicated, especially since Alex and Poppy have hit a rough patch in their relationship. After a period of estrangement, Poppy takes a risk by trying to reconnect with Alex emotionally. They both have different ideas about what their relationship is supposed to be, and they may not be able to reconcile their feelings for each other.

‘Soul on Fire’ (2025)
Soul on Fire is a biopic about John O’Leary (Joel Courtney), a man who suffered horrific burns over 100 percent of his body when he was a boy. Young John (James McCracken) wasn’t expected to survive or thrive, but this film puts a spotlight on the people who made sure that he did. John Corbett and Stephanie Szostak play John’s parents, Denny and Susan O’Leary, and they both bend over backwards to help their son find a way back from his injuries.
William H. Macy costars in the film as baseball announcer Jack Buck, a man who went above and beyond to befriend John and his family and lend the kid some much-needed moral support. This is definitely a movie that tugs on the heartstrings, and it’s life-affirming for anyone who needs a feel-good experience.

‘Bob Marley: One Love’ (2024)
Peaky Blinders star Kingsley Ben-Adir takes the leading role of Bob Marley: One Love as the reggae icon himself. The film has an alarming opening that chronicles the assassination attempt on Bob Marley, his wife, Rita Marley (Lashana Lynch), and his band during violent political strife in his native Jamaica.
The fact that the Marleys and the band survived is beside the point, as Bob finds it difficult to put the incident behind him and reclaim the creativity that made him an artist. Marley also faces a health crisis that threatens to end his life just as his career is beginning to reach new heights.
