Over the summer, the Toronto band led by VAYA VAYA added two more tracks, “BUMP IT!” and “Blow Out,” expanding the release into a multi-platform series which culminated in September performances at the Tranzac Club in Toronto, Ontario.
Lyrically, ELUSIVE THUGS engages with recurring themes related to power dynamics, resilience and social tension. “Stand Up!” emphasizes resilience and response to adversity through repeated calls to action. “BLOW OUT” explores cycles of hardship and disillusionment through symbolic and metaphorical imagery, while “EVER IN” explores identity and endurance in a more meditative register. A fifth track, “Step In,” was released in September.
