Chanel Cruise 2019-20 Is On Track

Chanel’s Cruise 2019-20 collectsion was on the rails. The railroad, that is. Shown in a Coco-styled train station at Paris’ Grand Palais, this was the first presentation since the death of fashion maestro and famed Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. The abbreviated collectsion on display may have had Karl’s touch (so our sources say) although he obviously was not around to design or helm the show. That task was left to his successor and long-time right hand Virginie Viard. Those looking for the beginning of a new era noted a softness or ease – a mood certainly befitting an elegant travel motif.

Bags were big. Literally. Lots of them and quite a number large-sized and suitable for travel.

Even the quilting was blown up.

Sometimes one just isn’t enough, so Chanel made multiples. Bags on bags on bags. Fortunately, they came in large and small sizes.

When you can’t decide on just one color, Chanel gives you two or three. Multicolor bags were plentiful.

Travel can be oh so tiring. Perhaps a pillow-shaped fluffy bag is just what you need to rest.
