Zach Bryan and ex-girlfriend Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia reignited their feud with a little help from a new song by Tyler Childers.
Bryan, 29, seemingly sent LaPaglia, 26, a message via his Instagram Story on Monday, August 4, when he posted a video of a “Saturdays Are for the Boys” towel on fire in the grass. He set the video to Childers’ new song “Bitin’ List” from his Snipe Hunter album, which includes some pretty telling lyrics about not liking someone.
Fans of Barstool Sports, where LaPaglia works, know that the “Saturdays Are for the Boys” towel is part of the company’s merchandise collection — and one of the brand’s go-to mottos.
Using Childers’ song for the burning towel video seemed even more tailored to Bryan’s rocky past with LaPaglia, as the lyrics go, “To put it plain, I just don’t like you / Not a thing about the way you is / And if there ever come a time I got rabies / You’re high on my bitin’ list.”
LaPaglia seemingly reacted to Bryan’s jab via her own Instagram Story on Monday. “Nurse he’s loose again,” she wrote with crying emojis and one laughing crying emoji.
In the snap, LaPaglia made a face at the camera with her eyes wide open. “I’m locking my doors, because what the f*** that s*** is terrifying,” she said in a separate upload.
LaPaglia later shared a screenshot of her latest Google search, “how do I file a restraining order,” which many fans think is directed at Bryan.
Bryan and LaPaglia dated for a little over a year before the “I Remember Everything” singer announced in October 2024 that they had parted ways. LaPaglia, who is known for her podcast, later accused Bryan of being emotionally abusive during their relationship, calling it a “toxic, awful, horrible situation.”
LaPaglia also claimed that Bryan offered her $12 million to sign an NDA during their romance, which would keep her from publicly commenting on their time together, but she refused the money. (Luxury Handbag Shopping previously reached out to Bryan’s team for comment regarding the allegations.)
Childers, meanwhile, has nothing to do with the feud directly. The country singer’s “Bitin’ List” did, however, fuel sing-alongs among his fans, including a video posted by LaPaglia and two of Bryan’s other exes.
Bryan’s ex-wife, Rose Madden, was one of the fans that took part in the social media craze, singing the now-iconic line about being “high on my bitin’ list” in her TikTok video. (Madden and Bryan got married in July 2020 and split the following year. She has since become an ally for LaPaglia.)
Bryan’s ex-girlfriend Deb Peifer also did the singalong trend, posting her own TikTok video for the song — and fans noticed. (Bryan dated Peifer after his divorce from Madden but the pair called it quits in May 2023.)
While Childers’ song was featured on Bryan’s cryptic post, the two singers don’t have any beef. In fact, Bryan previously praised the fellow musician after a fan claimed that he was “better than Tyler.”
“Childers is tenfold the musician I am and I will never say otherwise,” Bryan wrote via X in July 2021. “I can’t express it enough that music is not for comparing, its just stories and people trying to sing what their hearts feel. I’m barely even a musician and my pet peeve is the constant comparison of everything.”
