Influencer Jack Doherty made headlines when he was arrested on charges related to drug possession.
The content creator, 22, was taken into custody in Florida’s Miami-Dade County on Saturday, November 15, at 8:48 a.m. local time, People reported. He was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine), possession of 20 grams or less of cannabis and resisting arrest.
Doherty rose to fame online for his stunt and prank videos, amassing more than 28 million combined followers on platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
One year prior to his arrest, Doherty crashed his $200,000 McLaren sports car while livestreaming. In an October 2024 video, Doherty was seen looking down at his phone while driving as it rained. He allegedly lost control of the car and veered into a metal barrier. The Kick stream, which has since been deleted, reportedly had more than 185,000 viewers at the time of the incident.

People reported that Doherty’s bond for the November 15 charges was set at $3,500 and has been submitted.
Doherty went on to share a video with rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, in which he wore a shirt with his mugshot on it. Above the image, the TMZ logo was visible. “Straight out of jail baby,” Doherty said in the Instagram clip.
In a separate Instagram post, Doherty also shared a picture of his mugshot along with the caption, “First day out😤 #jackdoherty.”

Doherty shared an alleged video of his arrest, in which men wearing police uniforms were seen handcuffing him outside. “You’re about to go to jail,” a voice could be heard in the background.
“You think you’re funny? If you’re gonna be funny, get out of the f***ing street. I don’t know who the f*** you think you are, bro,” a man wearing a police uniform told Doherty.
In response, Doherty noted that he was “trying to walk up the street.”
“All you had to do was get on the f***ing sidewalk, that’s it,” the officer replied.
“I won my bail back on @stakeusa before getting arrested😭😂 #jackdoherty,” Doherty captioned the clip, which was shared via Instagram.
In a longer clip shared via the account @streamswatted, Doherty was seen challenging the officers to “a duel.”
“Guys, go on the sidewalk,” the officer replied, while Doherty noted, “After we duel, sir.” The officer repeated his request for Doherty to “go on the sidewalk” as the influencer said, “Yes, sir, after we duel.”

Doherty recalled sleeping on a bench in a cell “for five hours” before being fingerprinted and having his mugshot taken — and then “chilling for another five-plus hours,” per the New York Post.
“I was like, ‘Damn, I’m flying to Dubai in my mind right now,’” he said in the video, claiming that he “hogged” the phone while being held.
