Vanna White tied the knot with John Donaldson after more than a decade together.
The Wheel of Fortune star announced via Instagram in January 2026 that she married her longtime love in a surprise wedding. The reveal came just weeks after White offered a rare update on their relationship in an interview with E! News, telling the outlet whether or not she and Donaldson planned to walk down the aisle someday.
“We’re very happy,” White shared in December 2025. “We’ve been together for a long time, and we are just happy the way it is. Maybe people want to see us get married. When you’ve been with someone for so long, you kind of feel like you’re already married. You don’t have to have that piece of paper.”

Who Is Vanna White’s Husband John Donaldson?
John Donaldson was born and raised in Santa Monica, California. Unlike Vanna White, he’s not in the entertainment business, instead working in construction.
According to his website, Donaldson knew he wanted a career in construction from a young age. He started out as a laborer in the San Fernando Valley, packing lumber for $5 per hour on a commercial jobsite. He then moved on to a role as a carpenter and sought work on framing crews in the area.
Eventually, Donaldson became lead foreman at a construction and development company, working on high-end custom homes in the Hollywood Hills. Some of his famous clients included Richard Dreyfuss, Dan Akroyd and Martin Mull.
While working for the construction company, Donaldson obtained his contractor’s license and began working on small construction projects on the weekends, building up his resume to start his own company called JDC Construction + Development Group.

Vanna White first crossed paths with John Donaldson at a barbecue in 2012, 10 years after the TV personality split from ex-husband George Santo Pietro. White and Donaldson began dating soon after their first encounter, making several public appearances at red carpet and charity events through the years.

White continued, “John and I have been in love for more than a decade and a little while back, we wanted to make it official in a private ceremony. We’re excited to share this new joyful chapter in our lives with all of you! Love, Vanna and John.”
