Late President John F. Kennedy’s granddaughter Tatiana Schlossberg made an impact after going public with her health battle.

Tatiana wrote an essay for The New Yorker in November 2025, revealing that she had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Doctors estimated that she had one year to live.

“I did not — could not — believe that they were talking about me. I had swum a mile in the pool the day before, nine months pregnant. I wasn’t sick. I didn’t feel sick. I was actually one of the healthiest people I knew,” Tatiana wrote. “I had a son whom I loved more than anything and a newborn I needed to take care of.”

News of her diagnosis came months after Tatiana gave birth to her second baby in May 2024. Doctors noticed an imbalance in her white blood cell count before discovering that she had “a rare mutation,” Inversion 3.

“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning,” the family shared in a statement via Instagram. “She will always be in our hearts.”
