Rachel Zoe joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on the heels of splitting from her husband of 26 years, Rodger Berman.
Fans of Zoe’s previous Bravo reality series, The Rachel Zoe Project, will no doubt remember Berman as a key member of her fashion empire. Berman managed Zoe’s career and was president of her fashion business, in addition to cohosting the relationship advice podcast “Works for Us” with the designer.
“I always say, behind many successful women there is a really, really good man rooting for them,” Zoe said in 2021. “Rodger has always, always, always rooted for me.”
After welcoming two sons, Skyler and Kaius, Zoe and Berman confirmed in September 2024 that they had “come to the mutual decision to end [their] marriage” after “33 years together and 26 years married.”

Rodger Berman and Rachel Zoe Were College Sweethearts
The aspiring fashion designer and stylist first crossed paths with her future husband in the early 1990s while they were attending George Washington University.
“I met Rachel [Zoe] in the summer of 1991. She was 19, and I was 22,” Rodger Berman told Harper’s Bazaar in 2011. “She was a restaurant hostess, and I was working as a waiter in Washington, D.C., where we both attended college.”
Berman recounted how he was instantly struck by Zoe’s unique fashion sense.
“I vividly remember the first time I saw her — wearing a tight black mini dress, high-heeled pumps, stick-straight hair and big red lips covered in MAC Chili lipstick,” he revealed.
The two started dating shortly thereafter.
Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman Got Married in 1998
Rachel Zoe reflected on her February 1998 wedding to Rodger Berman during a 2024 episode of her podcast “Climbing in Heels.” She shared that she and Berman finally tied the knot at New York City’s Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center after “a very long engagement.” (Zoe’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Dorit Kemsley wed her now-estranged husband, PK Kemsley, at the same venue in 2015.)
In that same podcast segment, Zoe admitted that she leaned on her mother, Leslie Rosenzweig, to plan her wedding since she was busy with her bustling fashion career.
“I basically said, ‘Mom, I’ll get my dress, and I want Preston Bailey to do my flowers. … You can do the rest,’” she remembered. “That’s it. And that was it. And I showed up at my wedding.”

Zoe wore an Isaac Mizrahi wedding dress to embark on what she described as “the biggest commitment of my life.” The stylist disclosed in a blog about her 25th wedding anniversary that there were some unexpected complications on her big day.
“I cut bangs (bad idea) and got a henna tattoo that covered my entire arm to my finger tips that wouldn’t come off just two days before my wedding (bad idea),” she joked. “But, I will say that saying ‘I do’ to Rodger was the beginning of a life journey I wouldn’t change for anything.”
She went on, “I was working 24/7 as a stylist and Rodger was in finance — both in our early 20s building our lives. I was the one that said I would probably never get married because forever with one person seemed unfathomable. Well, here we are 25 years later and life has most definitely never been boring.”
Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman Share 2 Sons
Rachel Zoe “officially confirm[ed] to my loyal friends and followers that I am pregnant” on Twitter (now X) in November 2010.
“I feel great, Rodger and I are beyond excited and so thankful for all of your love and support,” she tweeted at the time.
Zoe and Rodger Berman welcomed their eldest son, Skyler Morrison Berman, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on March 22, 2011. Zoe offered some insight weeks later on how she and Berman chose their son’s name.
“It made a lot of sense because the ‘S’ in his name was for my great aunt and the ‘M’ in his middle name is for my grandfather and my husband’s mother,” she revealed to E! News in April 2011.
On September 3, 2013, , Zoe announced via her blog that her family “wanted to take a moment to OFFICIALLY confirm that we are expecting another child.” Kaius Jagger arrived on December 22, 2013, with Zoe sharing the first photo of her son via her blog.
“Rodger, Skyler and I are madly in love and will be happily hibernating for the next couple of weeks,” she wrote at the time. “Thank you for all of your kind words, as they mean so much to us.”
In 2014, Zoe said that she fell back on her experience as a celebrity stylist for A-listers such as Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus when she became a parent.
“Being a stylist is a lot like being a parent. You need to be patient,” Zoe told the Los Angeles Times. “You need to step back and understand what’s being communicated — whether you’re dealing with a celebrity, a private client or a child.”
Rodger Berman Was a Key Figure in Rachel Zoe’s Business Empire
Throughout their 26-year marriage, Rodger Berman was the president of Rachel Zoe Inc. Per his Bravo bio, Berman oversaw “all finance, legal and employee oversight” for his wife’s fashion empire. (Prior to working with Zoe, Berman was the cofounder and president of Recognition Media, which produced events such as the Webby Awards and Internet Week.)
“With the scope of their company constantly expanding, Berman works in conjunction with Zoe to set the overall direction and strategy of the brand,” his Bravo bio read. “His responsibilities also include negotiating partnerships with licensing partners and seeking new opportunities to extend the Rachel Zoe name.”

Berman was a fixture on all five seasons of Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project and also hosted the relationship podcast “Works for Us” with Zoe.
“I guess you could say I’ve been handling her business affairs since the beginning of time,” Berman quipped in a 2009 interview with The Daily Beast. “We used to sit on the floor and tape receipts together before she even had a staff.”
Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman Separted in 2024
Seven months after celebrating her 26th wedding anniversary, Rachel Zoe confirmed in September 2024 that she and Rodger Berman had “come to the mutual decision to end our marriage.”
“We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together,” she announced via Instagram. “Our number one priority has been and will always be our children. We are committed to coparent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share. We ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this new chapter.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 viewers saw footage shot the morning Zoe chose to file for divorce from Berman. She suggested it was “it’s not one thing” that led her to move forward with her divorce, rather “an absolute myriad of bad decisions that have been made over the last month, the last weeks, the last f***ing hour that would trigger me to move things forward.”
Rodger Berman Debuted a New Relationship Shortly After Separating From Rachel Zoe
Rodger Berman went public with his new girlfriend, stylist Bree Jacoby, in September 2025 by posing with her via his Instagram Story. Jacoby shared a video of her kissing Berman on the neck along with the caption, “I’ve got all I need.”
“Endlessly thankful for you,” she added alongside a photo of the couple slow dancing.
Zoe later complained to her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 costars about the sudden appearance of this other woman in her children’s lives.
“So, you know that my ex has this girlfriend, right? She’s never met the kids,” Zoe claimed. “My kids are leaving, about to get on a plane to camp. Literally, she f***ing appears. She’s there with him and shows up and says hi to my sons. What the f***?”
Berman subsequently confirmed to Vanity Fair in September 2025 that he was no longer seeing Jacoby.
“[Rachel and I’s] separation is very amicable, and our relationship is in a great place,” he said. “I no longer have a girlfriend; we broke up.”
Roger Berman Supported Rachel Zoe’s Return to Bravo
Rachel Zoe delighted the Bravoverse in June 2025 by joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15.
“It’s been a while and you’ve been asking me to come back to television, and I said when the stars align or it makes sense or I have enough to say to share with all of you, and now is the time,” she revealed via Instagram. “Really excited to be with all of you again and I hope you are too, so let’s have some fun! Mwah!”
Following the big announcement, Rodger Berman told Vanity Fair that he was excited for his estranged wife’s TV comeback.
“I’m super happy about her return,” he said.
