While Nancy Guthrie was last seen by loved ones on January 31, investigators believe that January 11 might be a significant date into her disappearance.

Nancy’s family, which includes daughters Annie and Savannah Guthrie as well as son Kamron Guthrie, posted a message on social media asking for assistance in providing footage related to their mom’s disappearance and included the date January 11.

“We continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greater Southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case. Someone knows something. It’s possible a member of this community has information that they do not realize is significant,” read a family statement shared via Savannah’s Instagram on March 22. “We hope people search their memories, especially around the key timelines of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as the late evening of January 11.”

Nancy was reported missing on February 1 and has yet to be found. One day after Savannah’s statement, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Today that Google initially told investigators that the surveillance image of a masked man at Nancy’s front door that was recovered from a Nest camera at her home was believed to have been taken on January 11, which was 20 days before she was declared missing.

What Do Investigators Think Happened to Nancy on January 11?

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos shared on March 22 that it is believed that surveillance footage of a masked man released by the FBI was taken from Nancy Gurthrie’s doorbell camera on January 11. Nanos stated that Google previously told authorities that was a possible date but later retracted the statement.

“Google initially reported that date as a ‘possibility,’ then later retracted the statement,” Nanos said to Today.

Why Did Google Retract the Date?

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that Google retracted the date because they could not definitively verify that the image of the person on Nancy Guthrie’s was taken on that specific day.

Are Police Still Looking Into January 11?

Despite Google retracting their initial statement that estimated that the surveillance footage was taken on January 11, law enforcement is asking Nancy Guthrie’s neighbors in Tucson, Arizona, to provide any footage from that date to aid the case, per NBC News.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos later told local outlet KOLD on March 23 that they do believe January 11 is significant to their investigation.

“We do believe that something occurred on January 11 and that’s with the FBI’s analysis of the equipment and digital stuff they’ve done,” Nanos told the outlet.
