The sweetest of days! Vanessa Williams is married. The singer-actress and her fiance Jim Skrip said "I do" in New York, on Saturday, July 4, her rep confirms to Luxury Handbag Shopping.
"Road trip for the holiday weekend," the new bride tweeted just two days before tying the knot. "Happy 4th.
Williams, 52, and the former accountant first met in Egypt back in 2013. "You go across the world to find somebody who's six hours away," the Broadway star told Philly.com in February 2014.
The Ugly Betty alum first announced she was engaged during an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show in September 2014. "I got engaged," she said, showing off her new sparkler. "I have had a lot of good things happen. I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal [for Trip to Bountiful] on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings on this trip.
This is the third marriage for Williams. She shares daughters Melanie, 28, and Jillian, 26, and son Devin, 22, with ex-husband Ramon Hervey, whom she was married to from 1987 to 1997. She and Rick Fox split in 2005 after six years of marriage, and share daughter Sasha, 15.
