Teddi Mellencamp is single, and she’s using Hinge to mingle.
Mellencamp, 44, opened up about her experiences with the dating app during the Friday, February 20, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast with Tamra Judge. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum said she’s “single right now” and dished on some of the potential suitors she’s come across on Hinge.
“Upped my age to 55. Disaster,” Mellencamp said while discussing the preferred age range she has listed on her profile. “The age gap between 50 and 55 on Hinge is unbelievable.”
Mellencamp said she never knows if the men are “lying” about their age.
After Judge, 58, asked how the app works, Mellencamp said, “They send you roses if they want to talk to you. And they have to pay for those.”
The Bravolebrity added that she only uses the app when she’s “bored” — which is “99 percent of the time.”
“So you talk, you chat them up and then you’re like, what’s your opening line?” Judge asked Mellencamp.
Mellencamp responded, “I don’t have an opening line. They have to open to me.”
Mellencamp’s dating life comes after her split from husband Edwin Arroyave in November 2024. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, according to court docs obtained by Luxury Handbag Shopping at the time.
“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the podcaster — who shares kids Slate, 12, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 5, with Arroyave, 48 — wrote via Instagram at the time. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
Mellencamp continued, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
Though they are still separated, Mellencamp and Arroyave put their divorce proceedings on hold and have continued to live together since doctors found multiple tumors near her brain in early 2025. She was diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer and underwent surgeries to remove the malignant tumors. She also underwent courses of radiation and immunotherapy treatment. The diagnosis came after Mellencamp’s battle with melanoma, which began in 2022.
“I’m fighting for my life, but also for my family’s life and all the people I love,” Mellencamp told Us in an April 2025 cover story. “[My kids] all know that I’m fighting the hardest I possibly can, but I haven’t said [‘moms always come back’ to them] because I don’t want to lie to them. And I don’t know.”
In October 2025, Mellencamp said that her cancer, which also spread to her lungs, was gone. However, she clarified that it would be several years before doctors declare that she’s in remission.
After her split from Arroyave, Mellencamp briefly dated Ricci Rea from June to July 2025. During their romance, she opened up about dating while battling cancer on her podcast.
“I’ve had to make it clear to people I’ve dated [that] this is where I am. This is what I’ve got,” she explained. “If it’s enough for you, great. If it’s not enough, I won’t be upset. I mean, yes, my feelings will probably be hurting, but this is all I got to give. And if that’s enough, great.”
