Teddi Mellencamp has been leaning on fellow Bravo star Jesse Solomon amid her cancer battle.
“Guess who I’ve been messaging back-and-forth with about cancer? Jesse Solomon,” Mellencamp, 43, told cohost Tamra Judge on the Tuesday, April 8, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast. “He’s actually given me a lot of good advice.”
Solomon, 31, revealed he’s a two-time testicular cancer survivor on a 2024 episode of Summer House, which he joined in season 8.
“What I asked him, I said, ‘During the times you were in treatment, not feeling good, did you lay in bed or did you go do stuff? This is where I’m really struggling,’” she explained. “He said, ‘Every day was like a completely different day. I would make plans and then not be able to do it. But then sometimes, I would go out and feel normal and do all the regular things. Then on the days that I didn’t, I just relax.’”
Mellencamp, who revealed in February that she was undergoing surgery for multiple brain tumors, said she has been told by doctors that “whatever you feel the best doing is going to help you get better the fastest.”
“Because you’re doing what your body wants,” Mellencamp concluded. “But either way, it was very nice of him to message me.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been candid about her cancer journey since revealing her battle in February. “I’m fighting for my life,” she exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping in a cover story earlier this month. “But also for my family’s life and all the people I love.”
While navigating the diagnosis, Teddi said dad John Mellencamp calls her “every day” to check in. “Some days, I’m not in the mood, I don’t want a pep talk. [I tell him], ‘I’ll talk to you tomorrow, I’ll be more pep talk-ready, but I love you,’” she told Us.
Teddi recently shared that her dad urgently called her 11 times in a row to ask a question about her last wishes. “Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little,’” Teddi said on the Tuesday episode of her and Judge’s podcast. “He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum.’”

Teddi, who shares three children with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, noted that she’s unsure where her kids would go in the mausoleum. (Arroyave, 47, is also dad to eldest daughter Isabella, from a previous relationship.)
“He’s like, ‘Well, there’s going to be the top five and then we’re gonna have little areas around it, and then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried.’ He goes, ‘You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there,’” she said, to which she ultimately agreed. “I’m gonna have to work on my sister next week. The kids will be right behind me.”
