Taylor Swift gushed about bestie Selena Gomez’s love story at her wedding to Benny Blanco.
“Taylor gave an extremely heartfelt speech at the wedding,” a source exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping. “She went into depth and talked about how over the years she saw Selena on the floor crying, mentioning exes, Selena having a broken heart and saying how happy she is that Selena has Benny now.”
The insider adds that Swift, 35, “said it is a best friend’s dream for her best friend to find someone like Benny and is so happy for her.”
Swift and Gomez, 33, have been close friends since 2008 when they connected through their respective boyfriends at the time, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. Gomez said on the “Therapuss With Jake Shane” podcast in August that the “best thing” they got from the relationships was “each other.”
A source exclusively confirmed to Us that the pop singer attended the nuptials of the Only Murders in the Building star and Blanco, 37, in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, September 27. According to the insider, Swift was also present at Gomez and Blanco’s rehearsal dinner the night before.
Other stars spotted attending the wedding weekend included Gomez’s Only Murders in the Building costars Paul Rudd, Steve Martin and Martin Short. (Meryl Streep was unable to attend the ceremony due to Milan Fashion Week.)
A source revealed to Us ahead of the nuptials that guests “still [did] not know exact locations for the rehearsal or the wedding” with less than 24 hours to go before the ceremony. Gomez and Blanco planned to have their guests picked up in shuttle buses and transported directly to the festivities.
The insider teased, “It will be a huge, A-list, star-studded wedding planned by Mindy Weiss.”
Gomez shared photos from the wedding via Instagram on Saturday, featuring her sleeveless, halter-neck Ralph Lauren dress and white bouquet of flowers. One photo showed the “Calm Down” singer smiling back at the camera as she walked toward Blanco, who wore a classic black tuxedo, while another showed Blanco resting his head in Gomez’s lap. In a third photo, Gomez kissed her new husband on the nose.

Blanco commented, “My wife in real life.”
Blanco also took to Instagram with photos from the weekend on Saturday, including a mirror selfie that showcased Gomez’s gorgeous lace gown and veil, as well as another selfie from their bed.
“I married a real-life Disney princess,” he wrote in the caption.
Gomez responded in a comment, “I love you soooo much 🤍.”
Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey, documented her daughter’s special day with a few different social media posts. On Sunday, September 28, she reposted Gomez’s wedding portraits, adding the caption, “Sunday kind of love.”
In a follow-up post, Teefey, 49, called the ceremony a “fairy tale.”
“What a perfect celebration for the most kickass couple I know! The evening couldn’t have been more beautiful and perfect,” she wrote. “Absolutely flawless! All my love to my beautiful daughter @selenagomez and to the greatest son-in-law @itsbennyblanco!!! It was a fairytale come true and it was beyond heartwarming watching my father walk her down the aisle!!!”
