Tallulah Willis is shedding light on her relationship with mom Demi Moore’s ex-husband Ashton Kutcher.
The conversation began when Willis, 31, weighed in after Gwyneth Paltrow shared an Instagram post with husband Brad Falchuk about navigating stepparenting. (Paltrow, 52, shares daughter Apple, 20, and son Moses, 19, with ex-husband Chris Martin, while Falchuk, 54, is the father of daughter Isabella, 19, and son Brody, 20, whom he shares with ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik.)
“I have a lot to say on this! Especially how to move through an ex- step parent ❤️❤️,” Willis wrote.
One user then asked whether she was referring to Kutcher, and Willis replied, “This maybe should have been a private message lol but yes I have personal experience with this.”
Willis noted that it’s “an important conversation,” adding, “No one needs to be [a] bad guy for a situation to be healed. there’s room for everyone.”
Moore, now 62, and Kutcher, now 47, tied the knot in 2005 when Willis was 8 years old. (Moore also shares daughters Scout and Rumer with ex-husband Bruce Willis, from whom she split in 2000.)

Luxury Handbag Shopping broke the news in 2011 that Kutcher was allegedly unfaithful. Moore announced the twosome’s separation later that year. Their divorce was finalized in 2013, two years before Kutcher tied the knot with Mila Kunis. (Kutcher shares daughter Wyatt, 10, and son Dimitri, 8, with Kunis, 41.)
Tallulah has been candid about how her mom’s marriage to Kutcher negatively impacted her childhood. She shared in a June 2023 episode of Stars on Mars that she “didn’t fully understand” the attention surrounding her family until Moore’s romance with Kutcher.
“It was, like, 2003, [and] my mom had just started dating Ashton,” Tallulah recalled. “It was that moment [when] a lot [was] going on [that] I really went inside of myself. That did send me into, like, a total dumpster fire. It was really hard, and I’m still unpacking.”
Kutcher, who was 15 years younger than Moore, has also been open about becoming a stepfather in his 20s to Moore’s three daughters.
“I was 26, bearing the responsibility of an 8-year-old, a 10-year-old, and a 12-year-old,” he told Esquire in January 2023 in response to Moore’s memoir, Inside Out, which detailed their relationship ups and downs. “That’s how some teen parents must experience their 20s.”
Despite his split from Moore, Kutcher shared that he still “make[s] a really conscious effort to stay in touch with the girls.” He shared on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast in 2020. “I love them, and I’m never going to stop loving them, right? And respecting them and honoring them and rooting for them to be successful in whatever they’re pursuing.”
