Saturday Night Live writer Jimmy Fowlie is asking for the public’s help in locating his missing sister, Christina Lynn Downer.
“My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe,” Fowlie wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 22. “Her married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie. Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police.”
Fowlie provided a phone number to his followers and her case number before confirming she was last seen in Los Angeles.
According to a missing persons report from the Los Angeles Police Department, Downer has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 120 pounds.
“Christina Downer was last contacted in late November,” police stated in the report. “Christina’s family and friends are concerned for her safety.”
Luxury Handbag Shopping has reached out to the LAPD for additional information and an update.
Fowlie has received support from many famous friends in and around Los Angeles who quickly shared Downer’s missing persons report on their social media pages.
“LA friends, please repost,” Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday. True Lies actress Ginger Gonzaga added, “My friend’s sister is missing. Please share post.”

Ariana Madix, Angie Harmon, Amy Schumer, Bowen Yang, Sarah Sherman, Casey Wilson, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Chloe Fineman have also shared encouragement to Fowlie online.
Fowlie first started writing for Saturday Night Live back in 2022, and has worked on a variety of sketches, including the viral “Domingo” skit, originally titled “Domingo: Bridesmaid Speech.”
The viral skit originally aired in October 2024 when Ariana Grande hosted the NBC show.
Fowlie has also served as a writer on A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter and the LGBT-themed comedy web series, Go-Go Boy Interrupted.
In September, Fowler was recognized as one of Vulture’s comedians you should and will know in 2025 alongside Saturday Night Live writer Ceara O’Sullivan.
“I’m so financially tied to this woman, it’s terrifying,” Fowlie joked via Instagram at the time when celebrating the milestone.
While Fowlie has a gift for making people laugh through his profession, he also has been sentimental on social media about his family.
Back in June, the writer opened up about the death of his mother and his hopes to receive a “sign” from his loved one after her passing in February.
“Thinking about my mom so much over the past few months,” he wrote via Instagram in June. “Today is my mom’s birthday. I felt compelled to write about her, even if the post was kind of bad. I just wanted to say that I love her and miss her. … Two nights ago, I had a dream and she was in it!”
Fowlie went on to recall a part of the dream he won’t soon forget.
“My mom and I started talking about how much I’d miss her when she dies. And she said she’d come back and visit me all the time,” he wrote. “That’s when I said, ‘But mom, you haven’t come back once to give. me a sign.’ And she said, ‘What do you think this is?’ Then I woke up.”
