Rosie O’Donnell shared a sweet moment with her newest grandson.
Rosie, 64, took to Instagram on Sunday, April 5, to post a photo of herself meeting her newborn grandson, Anthony Joel, whom her son Blake shares with wife Teresa. In the pic, Rosie cradled Anthony while looking up at the camera. She wore a blue ribbed sweater for the occasion, which she teamed with black pants. Anthony, for his part, looked cozy in a brown hat, a Pooh Bear shirt and orange pants.fch
“Best day ever,” Rosie captioned the post. “Met my grandson anthony – truly a beautiful child – im so proud of the happy parents teresa and blake #nana.”
Rosie later posted a pic of her kids Vivienne and Clay also cuddling up with Anthony. (Rosie shares Parker, 30, Chelsea, 28, Blake, 26, and Vivienne, 23, with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter. She welcomed Clay with late ex-wife Michelle Rounds.)
“Thrilled to have vivi and clay with me as we all meet the new baby #blakeandteresa #anthonyjoel #odonnell,” she wrote. Her fans sent congratulatory messages in the comments section.
“What a sweet soul. Congratulations to you and the family. Glorious 💙,” one wrote, while another added, “Sending all the love your way.” A third commented, “Congratulations to all 🎉🌹💫 ♥️.”
Rosie announced that Anthony was born on March 26 via Instagram. “Anthony Joel O’Donnell has arrived! and my heart burst open,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of the little one’s foot. “congratulations to mama teresa n blake christopher- i love u so ❤️❤️❤️.”
The talk show host is also the grandmother of four more kids. Her daughter Chelsea shares Skylar, 7, Riley, 5, and Avery, 4, with ex Jacob Bourassa and Atlas, 2, with Jacob Nelund.
Parker was first adopted by Rosie in 1995, then later adopted by Carpenter. In 1997, they expanded their family and adopted Chelsea. Two years later, they welcomed Blake into their family. In 2002, Carpenter gave birth to Vivienne, who was conceived via artificial insemination.
Rosie and Carpenter separated in 2007 and officially announced their split in 2009. Two years later, Rosie found love with Rounds. They tied the knot in 2012 and adopted Clay in 2013. In 2015, the pair filed for divorce. Rounds died by suicide in 2017 at age 46.
