Norman Reedus’ son Mingus has been charged after his recent arrest for alleged assault.
Mingus, 25, was reportedly charged with reckless physical injury, aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment, according to court records viewed by TMZ. Mingus pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Mingus’ attorney Priya Chaudhry responded to the accusations in a statement shared with Luxury Handbag Shopping.

Us confirmed on Saturday, August 24, that Mingus — Reedus’ son with ex Helena Christensen — had been taken into police custody in New York City after an alleged assault. He is expected to appear in court Tuesday, August 26.
Mingus was previously arrested in September 2021 for allegedly assaulting a woman, who claimed that the model punched her in the face. He denied the allegations, arguing in a statement that he only “threw his arm out” in self-defense after the individual appeared to “swarm” him.
“It was instinct,” Mingus told the New York Daily News at the time. “I was reacting to them swarming me and was afraid for the safety of my group. We didn’t think anything of it, but these five girls followed us for two blocks, throwing food at us and yelling. We told them to leave us alone, but they kept following, threatening to hurt my girlfriend and her friend.”
Mingus pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to attend five counseling sessions.
Neither Reedus, 56, nor Christensen, 56, has publicly addressed Mingus’ Saturday arrest. The now-exes welcomed their son in 1999, four years before they broke up, and always maintained an amicable coparenting dynamic.
In 2021, Christensen gushed about her bond with Mingus.
“My son means many things to me,” she told L’Officiel at the time. “You can teach your children a lot as they grow, but suddenly that dynamic changes and the next thing that happens is that you listen to them and you see yourself through their eyes, and that is a really incredible experience.”
Reedus, for his part, also shares daughter Nova, 6, with longtime partner Diane Kruger.
