Nicole Kidman is still feeling the loss of her father, Dr. Antony Kidman. The Grace of Monaco actress and her husband Keith Urban took to Facebook to thank fans for their love and support following his death.
"We would just like to thank everyone for their love and prayers over these past couple of weeks," the couple wrote on Monday, Sept. 29. "We are all heartbroken but knowing we are in the hearts and thoughts of others is so comforting. Sending love, Nic and Keith xx."
Nicole's beloved father passed away unexpectedly earlier this month after reportedly falling in a hotel room in Singapore. Kidman's publicist and friend Wendy Day told the Daily Mail on Friday, Sept. 12, "The family is in shock and is grieving. I think that some time and privacy is needed to deal with this shock and tragedy."
Dr. Kidman, a respected clinical psychologist, was laid to rest on Friday, Sept. 19. At his funeral, Kidman delivered an emotional eulogy, recalling how he helped her through her painful 2001 divorce from ex-husband Tom Cruise. The actress recalled him telling her: "'Nic, it’s going to be okay. It isn't what it could've been, it isn't what it should have been, it is what it is.'"
