Nicola Pelt Beckham and Brooklyn Beckham won’t let outside influences affect their relationship.
“It’s not always easy,” Peltz Beckham, 30, shared with Glamour Germany in an interview published Monday, June 2. “On TikTok, there are always random stories popping up about us. When I see fake news, my instinct is to shut it down. But it’s not worth it. I just scroll past and move on.”
Beckham, 26, tries his best to follow the same mindset as he aims to “ignore the noise” and focus on the gifts that are right in front of him.
“Keep your head down, work hard, be kind,” he said when asked how he protects his relationship from the public spotlight. “People are always going to talk. What matters is that we’re happy together.”
In recent months, the couple have found themselves making headlines for their distant relationship with Victoria Beckham and David Beckham.
In May, a source exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping that Brooklyn and Nicola “have not been in touch” with the family after the couple skipped David’s 50th birthday party in London on May 3. Separate sources also shared insight into an alleged rift that stems back to their 2022 wedding.
Although Brooklyn and Nicola didn’t address the reported feud in their latest interview, the pair were able to reaffirm their love for each other.
“My parents always said, ‘When you meet the right person, you’ll just know,’” Nicola shared. “As a kid, I was like, ‘What does that even mean?’ But it’s real. It’s this calm feeling, a sense of safety that takes over your whole body. I’d never felt that before.”
Brooklyn added, “You should marry your best friend. Someone who feels like home. For me, that’s Nicola.”
Married since April 2022, Nicola and Brooklyn appear to live a lavish life with glamorous photo shoots and lavish trips around the world.
But according to the couple, the simple stuff — like watching Love Island at home — makes them the happiest. The social media posts can be described as highlights.
“Social media can be amazing — you can connect with people you’d never meet otherwise,” Nicola shared. “But it only shows the highlights. I ask myself all the time: Should I post this? Will anyone care? And if I do, will it just make life look perfect when it’s not?”
Although the couple got engaged on the younger side — Brooklyn proposed to Nicola when he was 21 — the pair believe there’s one element that is necessary in any relationship.
When in doubt, it’s best to speak the truth.
“Always be honest,” Brooklyn explained. Nicola added, “Honesty builds trust, closeness growth. Real connection only happens when you’re brave enough to be honest.”
