MGK and Megan Fox have had one of the most closely watched — and turbulent — relationships in recent memory. After splitting in late 2024 while Fox was pregnant with their first baby together, the pair have slowly but steadily found their way back to each other, with sources telling Luxury Handbag Shopping they are now “closer than ever.”
MGK and Fox have had an on-off relationship since meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in March 2020. At the time, Fox was married to Brian Austin Green, with whom she shares kids Noah, Bodhi and Journey. (Green announced their separation later that year.)

“They are in a really good place and are on the path to getting back together,” the insider said, noting that the duo’s daughter, Saga, “has brought them closer.”
Us previously confirmed that MGK and Fox parted ways romantically after announcing the actress’ pregnancy in November 2024. But since their daughter was born in March 2025, the pair have been spotted spending more time together, including taking a trip to Costa Rica.
“Things are going really well and they have reconnected in a meaningful way,” the source told Us, adding, “They are basically back together, as they have been spending every night together with the baby.”
Although coparenting their daughter has brought them closer, the insider said MGK and Fox “aren’t putting a label on their relationship” because that would add “extra stress.”
The Transformers actress “likes things to be fluid with them so it allows her freedom in case MGK does something she doesn’t approve of,” according to the source, who noted that Fox “doesn’t want to get her heart broken again and hasn’t fully let her guard down.”
The Costa Rica Trip That Signaled a Shift
Fox and MGK’s trip to Costa Rica in the summer of 2025 marked a visible turning point, though sources cautioned it didn’t mean they were officially back together.

After a one-year hiatus, Fox delighted fans — and MGK — by returning to Instagram.
Commenting on Fox’s debut post — a carousel of photos posted on Tuesday, March 3, that captured the actress in a black thong and black T-shirt — MGK wrote, “Stoked I have your phone number,” a response which attracted more than 14,000 “likes” and more than 300 fan replies.
