Lori Loughlin is dipping her toe back into the dating pool five months after separating from her estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli.

“Lori has been putting herself back out there after her split from Mossimo and is dating again,” a source exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping, noting that the actress, 61, is “just having fun and keeping things light and casual.”

The insider adds, “It is nothing serious,” but Loughlin “feels like she got her spark back” after her split from Giannulli, 62, in October 2025.

“[She] is in such a good headspace lately,” the source says. “The dust has settled, and she’s really leaning into this season of life, enjoying her independence, spending a lot of time with her girls and having fun.”

The Full House alum is easing back into romance with support from her inner circle.

“Her friends are always trying to set her up,” the source tells Us, adding that Loughlin is “just having fun with it all. She feels her life has gotten better and less heavy recently.”

A second insider adds that Loughlin is “still kind of shaking off her divorce, but she has been leaning on her girlfriends and having fun,” reiterating, “She is not dating anyone seriously.”

Us previously confirmed in October 2025 that Loughlin and Giannulli, who share daughters Bella, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26, separated after nearly 28 years of marriage. (Giannulli also shares son Gianni, 35, with ex Chris.)

“They are living apart now,” Loughlin’s rep told Us in a statement at the time. “There are no legal proceedings underway.”

Loughlin and Giannulli’s breakup came after their marriage was tested by the infamous 2019 college admissions scandal.

The former couple was arrested in March 2019 after being accused of falsifying their daughters’ participation on the crew team — and paying $500,000 — for both Bella and Olivia Jade to gain entry to the University of Southern California.

Loughlin and Giannulli initially pleaded not guilty to all charges before ultimately changing their plea. In May 202, they pleaded guilty to charges of wire and mail fraud.

Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison and two years of supervised release with 250 hours of community service, but was released three weeks early in April 2021.

Loughlin, for her part, served two months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California. She was released in December 2020 and later completed two years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. The pair also paid $400,000 in fines.

With the pair reunited in spring 2021, a source exclusively told Us in January that the school scandal “was a turning point” for them. “They never really connected or recovered their relationship after that,” the insider said.

Despite her personal heartbreak, Loughlin has worked hard over the past year to rebuild her career.

She made her return to When Calls the Heart during the season 13 finale earlier this month ahead of her full-time comeback to the Hallmark Channel series next season. Loughlin originally starred on the show for six seasons, before Hallmark cut ties with her amid the scandal.

The network announced in December 2025 that Loughlin will reprise her role as Abigail Stanton in the upcoming season 14, which will most likely premiere in early 2027.

Loughlin gushed over the chance to return to her Hallmark “family” earlier this month, telling Us and other journalists at The Heart of Hope Valley event that the network “being supportive and just welcoming me with open arms has been so good for my soul. I’m just so happy to be back.”
