Law enforcement sources told TMZ that a suicide note was not found in Young's North Hollywood apartment after he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Monday, Aug. 19. Though The Famous Jett Jackson reportedly kept a regular diary, the entries apparently did not reveal a reason why the former Disney star would take his own life.

On Monday, Young's publicist said in a statement to TMZ, "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning . . . Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed."

"We're devastated by the news of the passing of Lee Thompson Young," read a post on Rizzoli & Isles' official Twitter account Monday. "Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him."

It is unclear how long production of Rizzoli & Isles will be suspended while cast and crew mourn the loss of Young.
