When it comes to throwing a party, the Running Point cast knows how to get down and “cut loose” thanks to star Kate Hudson.

“Kate had a crawfish boil at her house,” Hudson’s costar Fabrizio Guido exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping while attending the comedy series’ Los Angeles premiere at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood on Thursday, February 13.

“So she brought a company in to make crawfish and the whole cast gathered up,” Guido, 25, continued. “Our showrunners were there, some writers were there, and we just kind of cut loose and got to enjoy each other’s company outside of having to be in front of the camera.”

In the film, Hudson plays reformed party girl Isla Gordon, who is unexpectedly put in charge of her family’s professional basketball team. Hudson and Guido star alongside Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Max Greenfield and Jay Ellis.

When asked what it was like to work alongside Hudson and Song, Guido said he simply loves them both.

“I love them. I absolutely love them,” he explained “Kate is the number one — she sets such a great tone on set. When you’re the number one, you’re responsible for setting that tone and she works hard, plays hard. You go on our set and there’s so much laughter, so much love, and just people enjoying themselves.”

He added, “We’ll stay and hang out with each other.”

Sandeman, 36, exclusively told Us that the cast was able to create a slew of memorable moments on and off set, including one when Hudson was “fully in character.”

“Probably one of the most memorable moments was — it was take two,” he explained at the premiere on Thursday. “I was in a scene with Kate Hudson, fully in character. Knew what I was trying to achieve in this scene. All of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Oh my god – I’m in a scene with Kate Hudson.’ And it all just came crashing. It was a wonderful moment. Probably can’t use that take, but yeah, it was wonderful.”

While the vibe both on and off the set was a jovial one, Guido said the show’s competitive theme was certainly one he felt while vying for a spot on the cast.

“I’ll slip into a little bit of competitiveness here and there,” he explained. “I feel like even the casting process for this brought out that competitive nature in me, and I really wanted to get this role. So I wanted to bring my best foot forward and I always have made sure I’m doing my best, memorizing all my lines, doing everything to be funny.”
