Kaitlyn Bristowe and her ex-fiancé Shawn Booth previously entrusted fellow Bachelor Nation alum Whitney Bischoff to freeze their respective eggs and sperm.
“I heard Shawn Booth [once] was talking about how you still have his frozen sperm,” Bristowe, 40, told Bischoff, also 40, during the Thursday, December 4, episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast.
Bischoff, a fertility nurse who now runs her own concierge clinic, acknowledged that Booth, 38, is correct.
“Well, I don’t, but yes, it’s still there,” Bischoff said. “He could [use it] or he could just discard it.”
Booth previously revealed on his “In the Booth” podcast in 2023 that he had frozen a sample of his sperm.
“I did it, and the crazy thing is, I don’t know where that thing is right now,” he said at the time, without mentioning Bristowe or Bischoff by name. “I don’t even know what the place is called. I might have a few phone calls to make after this [episode].”
Bischoff helped Bristowe go through the egg-freezing journey at the same time.
“You froze my eggs. What did my vagina look like?” Bristowe asked on Thursday. “You’ve probably seen so many vaginas ‘cause you’ve retrieved so many eggs.”
Bischoff jokingly added that Bristowe’s body seemed “pristine.”
“I don’t know,” she quipped, revealing that she has no memory of Bristowe’ anatomy. “I don’t think about it. It’s just part of the job.”
Bristowe, meanwhile, noted that her friend made the procedure “enjoyable.”
“I, obviously, have a very different experience because I [wasn’t doing] IVF. I’m not trying to get pregnant [and] I’m not struggling,” the “Off the Vine” podcaster said. “I’m just thinking proactively, ‘If I want to get pregnant one day, let’s freeze my eggs.’ You talked for, like, an hour with me through everything, and then I felt empowered.”
Bristowe continued, “I was, like, ‘I am woman, here me roar. My body can do amazing things.’ I just feel, like, because you were so knowledgeable about every single edit, you make people feel really comfortable.”
Bristowe met Bischoff on Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor in 2015. Bristowe was eliminated just after Fantasy Suites, while Bischoff ended the show engaged to the 44-year-old farmer. When the show wrapped, Bischoff returned to her previous career in nursing.
“I don’t feel like I was cut out for the influencer life,” Bischoff said on Thursday’s episode. “I knew fertility, I knew women’s health and it was something that I was passionate about. I felt that I would regret it if I didn’t go back to it. I do fully believe I’m glad I did.”
Bischoff and Soules ultimately broke up after six months together. She later found love with husband Ricky Angel, and they eventually welcomed two children together.
As for Bristowe, she was the next Bachelorette in 2017 and she met eventual fiancé Booth. Bristowe and Booth called off their engagement in 2018, each moving on with new partners. Bristowe was engaged to fellow franchise alum Jason Tartick before they split in 2023. Booth, for his part, welcomed son Locks with partner Audrey “Dre” Joseph that same year.
