JuJu Smith-Schuster has some sweet advice for former teammate Travis Kelce ahead of his upcoming wedding to Taylor Swift.
“My advice to TK, man, if you see this, man, all I gotta say is just enjoy the process,” Smith-Schuster, 29, said in an interview with NBC Local on Friday, April 10. “Obviously, wifey is gonna want what she wants, just do it. That’s gonna be happy wife, happy life, and that’s all I gotta say.”
Much like Kelce and Swift, both 36, Smith-Schuster is in the process of planning his wedding to fiancée Laura Kruk. Smith-Schuster and Kruk, 33, got engaged in September 2024. The couple will tie the knot in July.
Meanwhile, Swift and Kelce, who started dating in summer 2023, got engaged in August 2025.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they captioned a joint Instagram post.
Luxury Handbag Shopping previously reported that the pair are expected to walk down the aisle on June 13 in Rhode Island. The date lines up with the Chiefs’ minicamp schedule that same month. The team announced earlier this month the mandatory event will be held from June 9 to 11.
While Smith-Schuster shared that he and Kelce haven’t spoken directly about the wedding planning process, they will be guests at each other’s ceremonies.
“He’s gonna have a great wedding, I’m gonna have a great wedding,” he told the outlet. “We’re gonna be attending both of them.”
Smith-Schuster and Kelce first met in 2022 when the wide receiver signed a one-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The following year, Smith-Schuster took a multi-year deal with the New England Patriots. However, the Patriots parted ways with Smith-Schuster after one year and he returned to Chiefs. After two additional seasons with the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster is now a free agent.
Smith-Schuster isn’t the only NFL player to offer Kelce some suggestions amid his upcoming nuptials. New York Giants Jameis Winston quarterback, who has been married to wife Breion Allen since 2020, shared some words of wisdom to the tight end.
“In terms of love, man, being able to unconditionally choose who you want to spend the rest of your life with is truly the greatest decision that you’ll ever have in your life,” Winston exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping in March. “And with his choice, being one of the most amazing women in the world, [who] has influenced so many cultures, so many people with her music … it’s gonna be a beautiful thing.”
