Journey Drummer Deen Castronovo Charged With Rape of His Wife

Journey drummer Deen Castronovo was arrested in June on charges related to rape and sexual abuse of his wife.

Legendary ‘80s rock group Journey is currently preparing to go on the road with a new drummer. Deen Castronovo, who joined the band as a drummer in 1998, has been charged with rape, sexual abuse, coercion, and unlawful use of a weapon, according to TMZ.

The site claims that Castronovo’s charges are related to his wife and that he’s being held without bail in Marion County, Oregon.

The band kicked out Castronovo after news of the charges came out and have replaced him with Omar Hakim, who has performed with Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Dire Straits, and Sting.

The group’s next tour stop is on July 4 in Provo, Utah.
