On Monday's Jon and Kate Plus 8, Jon and Kate Gosselin showed just how opposite their parenting styles are.
Kate stated that when she looks after the kids, she tries to plan activities that are educational.
"I do like them to learn," she said.

So, as she and the boys continued their vacation at Bald Head Island, N.C., she took them aboard the USS North Carolina battleship.
"I think I got some cool mom points," she said of the trip, adding that she wanted to "cry" when she saw how cute her boys looked in their sailor hats.

Of her boys, Kate said, "They're getting to that age where they're taking care of mommy, which is really fun to see."
Jon had different activities planned as he looked after 8-year-old twins Mady and Cara (who left their vacation with mom early because they had three days of school to finish).
Jon – whose Ed Hardy shirts were notably blurred – took them to a play park, where they rode go-karts and played video games.
Cara was game for anything (she even did a two-story high ropes course), but Mady wasn't so thrilled with the trip. "Really, actually, I don't even know what I want to do," she said of the play park. She added that she didn't like "climbing up and down…I just don't like being really, really high and that seemed really high."
In a Live! With Regis and Kelly interview last week, Kate said that – unlike Monday's show – she hopes to film more scenes with Jon.

"It's still going to be a lot of 'Jon and Kate,' but it's going to be 'Jon and the kids' and 'Kate and the kids,' she said. "I still hold out hope that it will be times where it will be 'Jon and Kate and the kids.' My main goal is to do holidays and things together."
