Natalie Portman is enjoying a new romance with music producer Tanguy Destable.
“Natalie and Tanguy have been seeing each other for a few months,” a source exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping, adding that it hasn’t been “too long, but they are having a great time together.”
The insider adds that Destable, 44, is “very outgoing and boisterous” and “is really into” Portman, 43. The pair have a “few mutual friends,” which is how Destable and Portman first crossed paths.
“Natalie is very happy with Tanguy,” a separate insider shares.
Multiple outlets reported earlier this month that Portman is dating Destable. Us reached out for comment at the time. (French publication Voici was the first to break the news on Friday, March 7.)
Portman’s new relationship comes one year after she finalized her divorce from Benjamin Millepied. Portman and Millepied, who met on the set of 2010’s Black Swan, exchanged vows two years later. The pair are parents to son Aleph, 13, and daughter Amalia, 8.
Rumors swirled in June 2023 that Portman and Millepied’s marriage was on the rocks when he was accused of having an affair with climate activist Camille Étienne. While Portman initially stuck by her husband’s side, Us confirmed in August 2023 that the twosome separated.
Months after Portman finalized her divorce from Millepied in March 2024, a source exclusively told Us that she has a “lighter step” and feels “more joy.” The insider added in June 2024, “Natalie is her confident self [again]. It took her a while to get her smile back after the divorce, but she has turned a corner.”
Later that month, Portman celebrated her birthday by paying tribute to her loved ones. “This year, on my birthday, I want to celebrate my gratitude for my friends who lift me up again and again,” Portman captioned an Instagram post in June 2024, alongside a series of images with her pals.
Millepied, for his part, was spotted in October 2024 kissing a mystery woman in Paris. An insider told Us in November 2024 that Portman learned about the photos shortly before they were made public.
“Natalie isn’t surprised that Benjamin has moved on because of how their relationship ended. She thought he’d move on pretty quickly,” a source exclusively told Us, adding that she “hopes Benjamin is happy.”
A separate source told Us that Millepied’s love life “doesn’t really have any bearing on Natalie,” adding, “She’s super happy in her life right now and has been prioritizing family and friends.”
