Influencer Sophie Rain doesn’t care what people think about her dropping nearly $200,000 for her lavish three-day trip to Coachella.
“All my life I have wanted to go to Coachella,” the 21-year-old influencer told People on Friday, April 10, after she received backlash over the large price tag.
Rain explained, “I never had the chance simply because my family was not rich enough and we lived in poverty. So I really wanted to make this moment special and go all out!”
The content creator, who has made millions from her OnlyFans account, raised eyebrows earlier this week when she broke down how much she was spending to fly to Indio, California, for the three-day music festival.
“I am not a brand-friendly influencer so I had to pay for Coachella all on my own,” Rain revealed in a Thursday, April 9, Instagram video.
Rain shared that she planned to bring the “entire” Bop House, a collective of Florida content creators known for their OnlyFans videos, as well as their stylists and assistants. Therefore she needed to purchase 12 passes for the event, totalling $67,980. (She bought a table at the main stage as well for that price.)
She showed “receipts” from her purchases, revealing that she chose to charter a private jet for the roundtrip price of $37,498.

Rain told her followers that after initially spending $29,000 on an Airbnb, the house allegedly “canceled on us three days before the event” so she had to book a much more expensive pad that totaled $83,375.
Additionally, the influencer hired a stylist that bought her a wardrobe for around $5,000. Rain’s grand total for the three-day experience came in at $193,845.
While the price tag is hefty, Rain told GQ in March that she made $100 million over the past three years by posting sexy photos and suggestive videos on adult-content site OnlyFans. (She revealed that being a virgin is part of why she is “so popular.”)
After her Coachella video was posted, some fans shared excitement in the comments section about possibly seeing Rain there, while others criticized her for spending so much on one event.
“Spending 83k on an air bnb and bragging about [it] is so insensitive. I love you girl and have always been a huge supporter. But please don’t be blind,” one user replied in the comments. “That could literally pay someone’s rent for the rest of their life…”
A second user wrote, “$193K just for a music festival weekend is WILD 😂😂😂.”
While Rain’s lavish weekend is outside the norm, Coachella tickets have gone up in recent years. For 2026 passes, which are totally sold out, the experience can range from roughly $800 to more than $2,000 per person, depending on ticket type and extras.
Between 2020 and 2025, the starting price for general admission tickets rose over $200, with reports indicating that last year about 60 percent of attendees used a payment plan to afford the prices.
