Kim shared in a subsequent update that Micah “needs a miracle in order to survive.”

“His scans are showing that his brain activity is not present. He is receiving the anointing of the sick at the 3 PM hour when Divine Mercy redeemed us all. We humbly ask you to join us in praying for a miracle (through the intercession of Archbishop Fulton Sheen),” Kim wrote via Instagram on Monday, December 22.

On Tuesday, December 23, Kim shared that Micah is “on life support” and “continues to fight hard.”

“He’s such a tough kid!” Kim wrote via Instagram. “Over the past few days, we’ve had 3 dear priest friends come to pray with him, anoint him, and even offer him the sacrament of confirmation! We chose the name St. Michael for him because that’s his favorite prayer. Please continue praying with us for his miraculous recovery, through the intercession of Ven. Fulton Sheen.”

Kim also shared a series of photos and a video from the hospital room, where a priest prayed over Micah. In one image, a notebook was displayed that read: “Always pray and never give up.”

“My Wife and I want to thank everyone who has been praying for us, crying with us, showing kindness, keeping vigil, and pounding on Heaven’s door for a miracle,” Kim wrote in the caption. “There are quite literally hundreds of thousands of people who are praying for Micah and we are forever indebted to you all. In the midst of so much pain and suffering, God has shown us that we are not alone, through each of you, the body of Christ! God’s Word commands us to pray without ceasing. Thank you!! 🙏🏼😭❤️‍🩹.”
