Influencer Denise Ivonne Jarvis Gongora, who used the social media handle “Mary Magdalene,” was escorted to her hotel by police in the weeks preceding her death.
Police officers in Thailand were spotted loading Gongora into a cart, per newly released social media footage dated from November 20.
“I don’t know what’s happening,” Gongora was heard saying, later adding, “I’m drunk.”
She was escorted back to her hotel, also stating the officers were “amazing” for helping her.
“I’m actually drunk,” she said, slurring her words. “I agree.”
News broke weeks later on December 9 that Gongora had died at age 33. Local Thai news outlet The Phuket News reported the social media star had fallen to her death from the ninth floor of a high-rise building in Patong, Thailand.
Gongora’s relatives later confirmed her death in a series of social media tributes.
“You are so funny and so creative way more than I’ll ever be,” Gongora’s brother, Ivan, wrote via his Instagram Stories. “I love you much more than words will ever say. You are my world. I wish things were different. Thank you for everything I love you sis.”
He added in another slide, “I jus [sic] wanna hangout with you one more time and tell you that I love [you] so much you mean the world to me.”
Gongora had over 400,000 social media followers across multiple accounts, often posting photos of her artwork to Instagram and other content via OnlyFans. She was also known for her multitude of tattoos and cosmetic procedures.
“[I started] when I was 18,” she said on a September 2021 episode of the “No Jumper” podcast. “I started dancing and stuff like that, and I remember I used to think the overdone look was so ugly. I just remember seeing girls with really huge f***ing implants in the club and everyone would make fun of them … but they were the ones making the most money.”
Gongora followed suit, undergoing a breast augmentation before experimenting with other procedures.
“The look grew on me, it wasn’t even for the money necessarily,” she explained. “It wasn’t that big to start. That took multiple surgeries to achieve what I have done. After that, I just started liking the overdone look and then it just became my image.”
Gongora eventually became known as “the surgery girl.”
“I’m actually introverted, like, I know it doesn’t seem like it but I have multiple personalities,” she said, denying she wanted to be known solely for her cosmetic enhancements. “I have my personality when I’m traveling, but at home I’m a totally different person. If it wasn’t for me having OnlyFans, I wouldn’t even give a f*** about being on Instagram or anything like that.”
Gongora added, “There’s a lot more to me than my surgeries and f***ing, being sexual and things like that. I get that mostly what I put on the internet is that sexual personal, so I don’t get offended when people talk about that more. That’s what I’m putting out.”
