HGTV personality Leslie Davis broke down her five-figure monthly salary when she secretly filed for divorce from Jacob Davis nearly two years ago — revealing she was the breadwinner in their marriage but only allegedly had $5,000 in the bank.
In the court documents dated March 25, 2024, and obtained exclusively by Luxury Handbag Shopping, Leslie, 42, told the court her monthly income as a realtor was $16,748, while her then-husband brought in around $12,942.
She also disclosed their monthly expenses, including $6,332 on their mortgage and other household expenses, $2,750 to feed their family of four, and $700 for their two minor sons, Cash and Cole. (Leslie and Jacob also share their oldest son, Kyler).
According to Leslie, after all the bills were paid, she was left with $12,773 per month, and Jacob’s salary dwindled down to $9,717.
However, the TV realtor said when it came to the money in her checking and savings account, she only had $5,000.
The Unsellable Houses star shocked fans earlier this month when she announced she was engaged and had privately divorced Jacob after 21 years of marriage. (The exes wed on April 12, 2002).
In a blog post titled “Leslie’s Life Update,” the real estate expert showed off her new fiance, Don Reidy.
“I know what you are all saying … ‘I didn’t even know you were divorced?’” she joked, while explaining that she chose to keep her split from Jacob “out of the public eye.”
While Leslie told her followers that they parted ways in 2022, her divorce petition reveals they lived under the same roof until the end of 2023.
“We began living in separate households on November 20, 2023,” the docs obtained by Us state, also outlining that as the date of separation.
Leslie went on to explain that her marriage to Jacob was “irretrievably broken,” but did not ask the court to restore her marital name, which will likely change once she says “I do” to Reidy.
The exes worked out a settlement agreement before she filed for divorce, too.
In the court documents signed on March 14, 2024, Leslie stated that they had agreed on a parenting plan for their children and had already divided their property fairly.
While Leslie did not ask for spousal support, she did request child support.
The judge signed off on Leslie and Jacob’s divorce on July 9, 2024, per the docs.
As for her new life with Reidy, the reality TV star shared that they connected while filming the fifth season of Rock the Block, which aired on HGTV in March 2024, around the same time she filed for divorce.
Leslie explained that Reidy was one of the contractors, and they started out as friends before things turned romantic after filming.
“Through the stressful days, endless hours, and lots of laughs in between, we became best friends and continued to stay in touch post-filming,” she wrote in her announcement. “Don was living in Colorado and working on other HGTV favorites, while I was wrapping up filming Unsellable Houses season 5 here in Snohomish, but we made an effort to keep our friendship growing. With hundreds of FaceTime calls that turned into dates and quick weekend trips to see each other, it was clear we were more than friends.”
After doing “long distance” for “almost a year,” the couple “decided to give it a real shot.” Reidy then moved to be with Leslie and her sons.
“Thank you all so much for the love and support for this exciting new chapter. Don and I cannot wait to share more with you all very soon!” she concluded.
