Gisele Bündchen and boyfriend Joaquim Valente cannot wait to welcome their first baby together, a source exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping.
“Gisele and Joaquim have been living together for over a year now, and expanding their family is something they’re very excited about,” the source tells Us. “Once the divorce was finalized, they moved in together very quickly and have been linked at the hip ever since.”
News broke on Monday, October 28, that Bündchen, 44, is pregnant with baby No. 3, her first with Valente, 37. She already shares son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with ex-husband Tom Brady. (Bündchen is also stepmother to Brady’s eldest son, Jack, 17, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.)
“Gisele is so excited to be a mom again,” the insider adds.
The supermodel and Valente started dating in 2023, two years after she employed him as a jiu-jitsu instructor for Benjamin. She later began studying the martial art herself.
Bündchen’s romance with Valente is her first since she and Brady, 47, got divorced. The proceedings were finalized in October 2022. Bündchen has also fervently shut down accusations that their relationship began ahead of her divorce.
“That is a lie,” she told The New York Times in a March profile. “This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful.”
She continued, “They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”
In the profile, Bündchen also praised her connection with Valente.
“This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first,” she stated. “It’s very different. It is very honest, and it’s very transparent.”
As Bündchen and the retired NFL quarterback continue coparenting Benjamin and Vivian, she also gave Brady a heads-up about her current pregnancy.
“When Gisele told the kids about her pregnancy, she made sure to let Tom know as well,” a second source told Us earlier this week. “This happened a few months ago. She wanted to give him that courtesy and knew the kids would tell him either way.”
According to the source, Brady was “shocked” by Bündchen’s reveal but is “ultimately happy” for her.
“It was hard to digest at first,” the second insider noted. “He knows Gisele is a great mom and was destined to be a mom.”
Neither Bündchen, Valente or Brady have publicly commented on the baby news.
