According to the Telegraph, the robber attempted to break into the 53-year-old actor's luxurious villa, but only succeeded in stealing one measly bottle of wine.

A source tells Luxury Handbag Shopping: "The alleged burglar, a 29-year-old Romanian man, found the wine in a small alcove in the garden of the lakeside property and then tried to force his way into the villa."

The thief didn't make it far. The Telegraph reports he was spotted by Clooney's security and the police were called, later arresting the man upon arrival. The criminal was then taken to a police station nearby and charged with theft.
