Emilie Kiser got candid about navigating her marriage with husband Brady Kiser after the tragic death of their 3-year-old son, Trigg.
The content creator, 27, responded to a fan’s comment asking how she “forgave” Brady, 28, in the aftermath of their son’s death. (Brady was the only adult home at the time when Trigg drowned in their pool in May 2025.)
After posting an “evening in [her] life” vlog via TikTok on Tuesday, April 7, a social media user commented, “I’m genuinely curious how you healed the loss of your son in your marriage and forgave your husband. No hate.”
Emilie later responded with a message sharing how she came to terms with what happened , writing, “You don’t heal from the loss, you learn to live with the grief. Lots of therapy and consistently,” she wrote on Wednesday, April 8. The influencer added, “As well as [the] realization that everyone deserves love, empathy, and forgiveness.” Emilie also said she learned to “not [give] a crap about other people’s opinions” through therapy.
In March, Emilie reflected on her grief journey during the 10-month anniversary of Trigg’s death via social media.
“Today is officially 10 months since we lost our son Trigg to a preventable drowning accident,” she wrote. “I continue to feel like I have no words in what to say when I’m asked how I feel because the only adequate word is ‘broken.’ I miss him so much. Everything about him. Especially the joy and light he brought to our home.”

She said she sees Trigg in her 1-year-old son, Teddy, “every single day.” (The couple welcomed son Trigg in July 2021 and son Theodore “Teddy” in March 2025.)
“That does bring me some level of peace while also surfacing a lot of other emotions,” Emilie explained, concluding her post by encouraging other parents to “watch” their kids around water.

“The last thing I want to add, always when I talk about Trigg, is awareness. It’s apparent to everyone who has ever heard HIS story that it was preventable,” she shared. “So please, fence your pools, add multiple barriers, get your kids in swim lessons NOW & consistently. And last but most certainly not least, always watch them around water.”
In May 2025, news broke that Trigg died after he was found unconscious in the Kiser’s family pool. At the time, authorities recommended criminal charges against Brady because he was home at the time of the accident, but the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said it would not be pursuing charges because there was “no likelihood of conviction.”
Emilie broke her silence on Trigg’s death in August 2025, writing via Instagram, “I take full accountability as Trigg’s mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him. One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it’s something I will never overlook again.”
