Elizabeth Hurley is having a banner year — thanks in part to boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus.
The Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery actress, 60, told Hello! magazine in an interview published on Monday, September 1, that she’s having a joyous 2025 so far, not only having turned 60 in June and hit a new career milestone, but because of her blossoming love life.
“This year marks my 30th year working with the Estée Lauder Companies and my 30th year as the Global Ambassador for the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, which is the most meaningful work of my life,” the star said. “We’ve helped raise over a billion dollars for life-saving breast cancer research.”
She added, “I also met and fell in love with my boyfriend. So yes, a good year.”
Hurley went on to describe some of the things that are making her “happy at the moment,” further gushing about her boyfriend, who she said is imparting his musical wisdom upon her.
“My friends, family, Billy Ray, my dogs, my parrot and my new tortoise James,” the actress shared. “I’ve been in England all summer for the first time ever and have loved every moment. Billy is teaching me to play the guitar; right now I’m appalling, but I’m hoping to improve!”
Hurley and Cyrus, 64, went public with their romance with a joint Instagram post on Easter Sunday back in April.
“Happy Easter ♥️,” they captioned the pic featuring the country singer giving Hurley a kiss on the cheek while visiting a farm.
A source told Luxury Handbag Shopping at the time that the new couple were “enjoying life together and wanted to make it public.” The source added, “They have nothing to hide.”
“They’ve been friends for years, but it turned romantic recently. Things are going well,” the insider continued.
After going public, Cyrus sang Hurley’s praises during an April radio interview on Apple Country Music’s The Ty Bentil Show.
“She’s a great human being. If all we ever were [was] the friends that we are … I would take that,” he said. “She’s so impressively brilliant.”
“The oddest part was first how much we laughed,” he added of their transition from friends to lovers. “Second, I figured we were so different, but in some very strange way, we had way more in common than we had different.”
