Donny Osmond paid tribute to his “eternal love,” wife Debbie Osmond, on her 66th birthday.
“You are the love of my life,” Donny, 67, wrote via Instagram in honor of her birthday on February 26.
Donny shared photos of the couple throughout various stages of their 46-year marriage, including their first official portrait as a couple and a black-and-white still from his wedding to his “beautiful bride.” Sweetly describing his marriage as “the best decision” he’d ever made, Donny credited Debbie, 66, with being the “cutest grandma ever” and his “world-traveling partner.”
“Here are some of my personal pictures through the years with the birthday girl who captured my heart. Happy birthday, Debbie. I love you,” Donny wrote in the caption.
Donny has often honored his wife on social media, including revealing via a 2016 Facebook post how they met as teenagers after Debbie dated his brother Jay Osmond.
“I first met Debbie when she was 15 years old,” he recalled. “She was the hot babe cheerleader in town and she dated my brother Jay before she dated me. It took me 3 whole years to win her heart and convince her to marry me.”

The singer went on: “We’ve shared a wonderful life together. Debbie gave me five wonderful sons. We now have 3 beautiful daughters-in-law. With the way she looks, who would ever believe that a woman that lovely is a grandmother 8 times?!”
Debbie eventually married Donny at the Salt Lake Temple in Utah on May 8, 1978. They later welcomed five children and 14 grandchildren.
During a rare joint interview on The Rachael Ray Show in 2014, Debbie joked that it “took a little while” for her to develop feelings for Donny.
“He just always treated me so great,” Debbie remembered. “I liked that he was so kind. He gave me roses and he was just a gentleman. And so, I fell in love with him.”
Donny recently suffered the tragic loss of his older brother Wayne Osmond, who died at age 73 in January from a massive stroke. The “Soldier of Love” singer was among the many members of the Osmond family to publicly memorialize Wayne.
“Even though I know with certainty that I will see him again, there’s a vacancy in my heart that hurts,” Donny wrote via Instagram in January. “I came across [some] pictures today and thought they would be perfect together. Pictures say thousands of words, and these say it all. Throughout my life, Wayne was always by my side and always there to back me up.”
His sister, Marie Osmond, also broke her silence days after Wayne’s death via social media to acknowledge feeling a “giant hole in [her] heart” due to the loss of her brother.
“Wayne loved deeply, and he showered this love upon his beautiful wife, Kathy, whom he loved with all his heart, and his beautiful children and grandchildren. It’s all he ever talked about!” Marie noted. “I admired him, too, for his deep love and unwavering devotion to God our Father and His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, Wayne was an honorable member of The @churchofjesuschrist It was his eternal compass, and he was a light to others as he testifies of God’s great plan of happiness for us in this life.”
Wayne was survived by his wife, Kathlyn White, and their five children.
