Donald Trump Jr.’s connection with Bettina Anderson isn’t the same as his relationship with former fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle.
“The relationship ran its course,” an insider exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping of Trump, 46, and Guilfoyle, 55. “Kimberly’s relationship with Don was genuine.”
The insider adds that Trump “was the one who ended it.”
Since his split from Guilfoyle, Trump has been linked to Palm Beach socialite Anderson as they’ve been spotted together out on multiple outings in Florida. According to the insider, Trump and Anderson’s connection is “different.”
“When it comes to his relationship with Bettina it’s just about them,” the insider explains. “He wants a partner. She doesn’t need anything from him and just wants to be with him.”
Us previously confirmed earlier this month that Trump and Guilfoyle called off their engagement.
“Don and Kimberly broke up before the election and started to divide assets around the end of September,” another source exclusively told Us.
The source added that Trump and Guilfoyle “never discussed” their breakup publicly to avoid detracting from other “important issues.” While Trump was the one to initiate the breakup, the source shared that it was “amicable.”
“So is their relationship today,” the insider said. “They just had different goals.”
Guilfoyle was a friend to the Trump family years before she and the businessman began dating in 2018. He proposed two years later and the twosome confirmed the engagement at his sister Tiffany Trump’s 2022 wedding to Michael Boulos.
Since their breakup, Guilfoyle was named the U.S. Ambassador to Greece by Donald Jr.’s father, President-elect Donald Trump Sr. Guilfoyle has been an avid and high-profile supporter of Donald Sr. for years.
Last week, Donald Jr. broke his silence on his and Guilfoyle’s breakup after it was announced she was selected for the ambassadorship.
“Kimberly and I will never stop caring for each other and will always keep a special bond,” he said in a statement to Page Six on Friday, December 13. “I could not be more proud of her and the important role she’ll continue to play [as U.S. ambassador to Greece.]”
Donald Jr. also gushed about Guilfoyle’s accomplishments and how she is a great fit for the role.
“She’s been an undefeated prosecutor, national TV news star, a leader of the MAGA movement and close advisor to the president,” he continued. “The people of Greece are getting an absolute star and now the whole world will see it more than ever.”
