NBA player Dillon Brooks is seeking a temporary restraining order against his ex-girlfriend Heather Andrews, alleging she threatened physical harm to him and his mother, destroyed his belongings and hacked his social media accounts.
Brooks, 29, filed the request, obtained by Luxury Handbag Shopping, on Wednesday, June 25, in Los Angeles.
Brooks alleged that Andrews, 33, threatened “to have my fingers cut off; to publish private information; and has made good on her threats to distribute and publish private information.”
“Most recently, Petitioner has obtained unauthorized access to my OurFamilyWizard (‘OFW’) account and has sent at least one false message to herself, and then actually used that message as the keystone for her current restraining order request against me,” the request continues.
Brooks and Andrews met in 2018 while he was playing in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. They share daughters Mila, 5, and Luna, 2. The former NBA All-Defensive Team member claims the harassment began while Andrews was pregnant with Mila in the form of “emotionally abusive” text messages, sometimes amounting to 100 in the span of a few days.
She also allegedly sent screenshots of their conversations to sports blogs and tabloids without his permission and posted others to her social media accounts, “in an effort to try and harass and embarrass me and/or to gain leverage over me.”
Brooks shared screenshots of some of the messages in the report, which he alleges are from Andrews.
“I’ll habe (SIC) someone cut each one of your f***ing little fingers off one by one,” one message reads. “So you can never play basketball LOL… And actually now I understand why people are racist.”
“I really would consider not moving in that f***ing house because you’re going to be at risk living there,” another says. “I’ll f*** that condo up too I’d change the locks if I were you.”
On another occasion, Andrews was accused of vandalizing Brooks’ home, allegedly writing “you suck bitch” across his outdoor fireplace mantle. Brooks provided a photo of the damage.
Brooks is asking that a judge provide a non-contact and stay-away order that would bar Andrews from coming within 100 yards of him, his home, vehicle or place of work. He currently has a temporary restraining order in place which was granted in November 2024 and is due to expire at the end of July. Documents indicate the pair is also involved in a custody dispute.
Brooks, an NBA veteran, played last season for the Houston Rockets, but appears headed to the Phoenix Suns in a trade involving Kevin Durant. That trade is expected to be finalized in July.
