One notable member from the Dance Moms cast was absent from Brooke Hyland’s wedding.
Hyland, 28, tied the knot with Brian Thalman in Florida on Saturday, February 21, but Maddie Ziegler was unable to attend her nuptials. After fans were left wondering why Ziegler, 23, was not at the celebration, Brooke cleared the air during a pre-recorded Monday, February 23, episode of Gia Guidice’s “Casual Chaos” podcast.
“Unfortunately, a few of the girls couldn’t make it to my shower, but as of right now I’m pretty sure everyone is coming to the wedding except for Maddie because she’s filming something,” Hyland explained on the episode, which was recorded before her nuptials took place. “So she won’t be able to.”
While Hyland didn’t say what Ziegler was filming, Deadline announced in December 2025 that she is set to star in Netflix’s upcoming rom-com In a Holidaze. The movie also stars Rob Lowe, Graham Phillips and Elias Kacavas. Production Weekly also reported that filming began in January in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. They are scheduled to film until mid-March.
Brooke and her sister Paige Hyland, meanwhile, gushed that her relationship with the Dance Moms cast is “so great.”
“I think with all the original girls on the show, we have a really good relationship,” Paige, 25, said. “I would say we’re all like sisters. Honestly, sometimes sisters don’t like each other but you always love each other, you know?”
Brooke agreed with Paige, adding, “Yeah, we all live in different places, like Chloe [Lukasiak is] in New York, Nia [Sioux is] in L.A., same with the Zieglers.”
She continued, “So we don’t get to see each other as much as we would like, but any time any of us are in the area, we always try to make an effort to see each other. It’s nice with all my wedding stuff right now that it gives us a reason to be in the same room.”
Dance Moms cast members who were able to celebrate with Brooke in person include Kenzie Ziegler, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker, Kendall Vertes, Sioux, 24, and Paige, 25. Melissa Gisoni, the mother of Maddie and Kenzie, 21, was also in attendance, as well as Chloe’s mom, Christi Lukasiak and Kendall’s mom, Jill Vertes, and of course, Brooke and Paige’s mom Kelly Hyland.
Brooke shared photos from her wedding via Instagram on Sunday, February 22. She showed off her chic table arrangements, including shells that she turned into ornaments.
“I made these ornaments for everyone [because] Brian and I collect ornaments anytime we travel together,” she captioned the photo.
While tying the knot, Brooke rocked a white gown with a fitted bodice and billowing skirt, complete with a long train. She accessorized with a long veil that clipped into her updo.
“Mr. and Mrs. Thalman, 2.21.2026 🤍,” she captioned the post.
The cast again reunited at Brooke’s bridal shower in January. At the time, Jill, 60, took to Instagram to share moments from the shower.
In one pic, she posed with the cast as they wrapped their arms around each other and beamed for the camera.
